​​ITINERARY: 

Day 1 : As the afternoon begins, you’ll set out on a hike to the Karmata Rúa Indigenous Reserve, home to the Emberá people. Here, you’ll participate in a body and face painting workshop and learn how to make handicrafts, among other techniques that will allow you to discover their closely guarded secrets and connect with their ancestors and history. At this reserve, you’ll enjoy a coffee tasting—one of the region’s most iconic products. In the evening, you’ll head to your rural lodging, where you’ll spend the night and enjoy a traditional “sancocho” meal on the banks of the Quebrada La Bonita.   

Day 2 :  Very early in the morning, around 5:00 a.m., you’ll set out in search of the rock cock, an exotic bird that lives in the mountain forests. Then you’ll take part in the arepa festival, where you’ll have breakfast and experience Paisa culture up close. You’ll head to the Cueva del Esplendor, where you’ll be able to connect with nature, learn about the various habitats, and how to care for them. During the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to leave your mark and plant a tree. In the afternoon, you’ll return to the village to check out and head back to Medellín.
